Watch Me Grow

| Here's a recent post to the Haflinger Friends mail list from Jessie, who has her horse Toby
in the Watch Me Grow program.
Hi everyone, Just wanted to share my wonderful weekend with everyone. I went down to Cedar Lane Farm to see Toby again. (Trying to get down there as often as possible.) Well, besides a couple thunderstorms that blew over my tent that I was sleeping in at the time, everything was perfect! I was surprised to see how much Toby had grown since the last time I was there. He is growing into such a big, beautiful boy. And I love the
fact that I can walk right up to him in the pasture and he doesn't try to get away at all. We took a walk through the woods to spend some time together, and he did wonderfully. Didn't spook at
anything and we got some pretty pictures afterwards. I will post Saturday night we had a cook out back by the pond. Some of the geldings and mares (about 14 of the 30+ horses) were allowed to graze back there during that time. What a gorgeous sight! I was wonderful to be able to sit back, enjoying the meal and watching all these pretty horses grazing along the pond. Wish I could see that sight every day! and of course a couple of them, including Toby, came right up to where we were sitting to check out what was going on. Then this (Sunday) morning I woke up and crawled out of the tent, and the first sight to greet me was that several horses were in the pasture closest to me. It makes waking up much better. And plus I got to go horse back riding this morning before I had to drive back to school, which was lots of fun! Well, now it is time for bed,
