Antonio Rose of Lilac Farms (Tony) is a four year old, 14H gelding. He is by the stallion Alois (German Import) and out of the mare R. Noble Rose APF. Tony has been raised and is owned by New Horizons Haflingers/Lilac Farms LLC in Michigan. He would be a great junior or 4H horse as well as adult horse.

In 2008 Tony was shown under saddle in English pleasure and Western pleasure (walk-trot-canter), training level dressage suitability, and trail classes. He is currently working training level dressage and being trail ridden. He has a nice overtrack at the walk, a very smooth (easy to sit) trot, and a balanced three-beat canter. Tony had 90 days professional dressage training in 2007. At the 2007 AHR National Show, Tony was 2nd in his w/t dressage suitability class in a class with eight other horses who had much more experience. This was Tony's first time showing undersaddle, and he did great!

Tony is an excellent mover with correct conformation and a wonderful work ethic. His sire Alois, is an athletic preformance horse who excels in jumping, dressage and other disciplines. His half brother, A Gentleman, is training Second-Third Level Dressage at 7 years of age and is a wonderful competition horse. Tony's dam is a multi-champion and grand Champion at halter in Haflinger breed shows and open shows. In 2006 after only 30 days of dressage training, Rosie won first in suitability class and Reserve High Point Champion-intro level-in large classes against other breeds at her first open show. She also won both intro level (A & B) classes at the 2006 AHR National haflinger Show-only her second show!

Tony is priced at $6,500 this winter until his training advances. His breeder is hopeful that he will continue a career in a sporthorse discipline when sold and is negotiable to a show home. For additional information and more photos, please go to www.newhorizonshaflingers.com.
