Nugget

Nugget is being raised for a family in Iowa.

Notable Nugget DHKY born spring 2004 was enrolled in the Watch Me Grow program by his new owners from Iowa. He is by our stallion Notable WBF and out of the beautiful mare Magdalena CCF, now owned by Deer Haven Farm in Lexington Kentucky. He has a full sister, Markaysa, who resides at Deer Haven.

Nugget is a sensible and willing young colt. His owners plan to raise him to become a future pleasure horse for them, possibly doing some endurance riding, dressage, trails and perhaps some packing. He is a quick learner and very sweet. He will be a sturdy horse, most likely maturing to the 14 - 14.1 hand range. He has very nice movement and should do a good job at whatever he attempts in life.

Nugget has attended his first show in October 2004, the AHR National Show. He handled everything very well and was a perfect gentleman. He placed 7th in the weanling futurity colt class. Nugget went to his second show in September 2005 and was in a Sport horse in hand class at a Dressage show. He was awarded first place out of 6 entries and the judge commented on how nicely balanced he is and how mannerly.

During the AHR National Show in 2005, Nugget was in a Sporthorse in hand class stallions and geldings 3 and under and was awarded 71.5% for a second place and was placed above several older stallions and geldings. He did an in hand trail class and was third in a large class as well. And third in the futurity class as well and fifth in open halter. We are very proud of his good manners and willingness in the show atmosphere.
