Mandy
Mandy has been sold to a new home in Kentucky! She will remain a broodmare and family horse for her new family. Contact us if you are interested in any future foals from Mandy as she will be producing some to offer for sale. Mandy is an 11 year old Austrian imported mare. Her registered name is Almendra. Her sire is the World Champion Afghan II and she is out of a mare named Amiga (Winterstein x Anschi). Anschi was a well trained jumping mare in Austria. Mandy is a 1/2 sister to Aristocrat TOF, a gold classified stallion and Amadeus, a World Grand Champion stallion in Austria. Her bloodlines are the best Austria has to offer. Mandy gave us a colt, Nathan, by Notable on May 2nd, 2004. We also received a beautiful filly on April 11, 2005, Anya . And Amy, a filly in 2006. She is expecting a foal by Rush in March 2008. Mandy is trained to drive and ride. She has been shown in harness and is being trained and shown in training level Dressage for our farm. She has great conformation, a huge stride and is a natural jumper as well. Mandy is a special mare as she is beautiful to see and kind and gentle to handle. She is 14.3 hands tall, 59". Almandra scored a 77 silver ribbon in our 2003 AHR breed inspection. Mandy had her first dressage show September 19th, 2004 after only a few weeks of saddle training. She scored a respectable 68% on her Intro test and handled the show atmosphere very well. She was first in her class of 8.
