Notable WBF
Congratulations! Notable has been purchased by Quail West Ranch, Arizona and New York, Tom and Meg Massung for a breeding stallion and dressage pleasure horse for their family. They will be offering AI breedings to Notable in the spring of 2008 at their ranch in AZ. They are very excited to own Notable to start their breeding program. Notable WBF (barn name Nick) was raised and trained by Cedar Lane Farm as well as being our herd sire for 5 years. He is the perfect example of a well bred Haflinger stallion, mannerly and quiet with exceptional conformation. The combination of his silky pure white mane and tail and deep chestnut coloring is absolutely stunning. He stands 14.2 hands (58"). Notable, born in 1999, is by the impressive Nobleman of Tudor Oaks (Nabucco x Georgette) out of our imported mare Assita TOF (Winterstein x Assunta). His pedigree is layered with World Champions and selective breeding stock from the best Austria has to offer. In 2005, Notable competed at Second Level dressage with scores in the 60's and won against other breeds of horses at USDF Rated shows. Notable was undefeated in the 2005 show season against all types of horses! Notable is scoring 64% at Second Level in 2006. In 2006, Notable started a second career in combined driving with a beginner driver. Our first show was held in September at the Indiana Combined Driving Event. He was shown training level pony and had 8 in his class. We won the dressage test with a score from two judges of 50% and were tied for third after cones, just a bit slow on the course and one dropped ball gave us some penalties. The next day we did a busy marathon with no penalties, clean rounds and on perfect time to put us in Second place for our class! Notable is the perfect adult amateur show horse, steady as well as athletic & willing. He loved the CDE! In October 2006, Notable attended a combined test schooling show and won his division in novice starter, 2' fences with a score of 33. He loves to jump and enjoys trying new things. At the start of his dressage career, over a series of 4 schooling shows held in winter 2004 at Paxton Farm in Cincinnati, Ohio, Notable was undefeated in his classes and awarded a championship ribbon for high point horse in Training Level and reserve champion for First Level. At the 2004 AHR National Haflinger Show, Notable was undefeated in Dressage to score a 64.5% at First Level Test 3 and a 70.7% at First Level Test 1 to bring home 2 blue ribbons and champion plaques. In May 2007, Notable earned a Second level Championship through HOPE - Haflinger Owners Promotional Enterprise at the Paxton Farm Spring Classic with scores in the mid to high 60's.
